Virtual Assistants to Exceed 2.3 Billion Shipments in 2023

The market for virtual assistants (VAs) shows strong positive momentum, driven forward by a combination of rising consumer demand and improvements in the enabling technologies. According to a new report from Futuresource Consulting, global shipments will exceed 2.3 billion units by 2023, up from a projected 1.1 billion for 2019, with a CAGR of 20% over the reporting period.

IHS Markit Survey: Smart Speaker Household Access Reaches 13 percent of Internet Users

More than 13 percent of internet users surveyed across the Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, India, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States had access to a smart speaker in their households in November 2018. Smart speaker penetration ranges from 6 percent in Japan, to 21 percent in the United States, according to business information provider IHS Markit.
